Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What is "Catia On The River"?

A. "Catia On The River" is a total new and unique approach to Catia training.  It is highly effective, professional training, held in an intimate and comfortable resort like setting.  It's one-on-one, or small group, personalized training with me, Keith Childress.  The training takes place in my home/office training facility overlooking the beautiful St. Clair River in Algonac Michigan.

Q. What is taught during one week "Catia On The River" course?

A. I teach my Practical Catia Training course.

Q. Why do you teach the class in your home/office?

A. For several reasons.  My home/office provides an intimate, comfortable, setting in which to provide Catia training.  I have found that a relaxed atmosphere is conducive to the learning experience.  Working out of my home/office also allows me to keep costs down.  I pass this savings on to Practical Catia Training participants in the form of lower costs.  Last, but not least...it has a great view!!!

Q. I live too far to commute, do you offer lodging?

A. Yes, lodging is available.  We've working out special rates with local area hotels and Bed and Breakfasts.  For those of you that enjoy camping, the Algonac State Park is just two miles north of our training facility.  It's located on the St. Clair River and offers a picturesque view of the river and the passing freighters.  No tent, no camper...no worries.  For a nominal fee, we'll be happy to set you up in a pop-up camper at the state park.  Please contact Keith at 810 794 0370 or at keith@practicalcatia.com for more information.

Q. What is there to do in Algonac when I'm not training?

A. While the city of Algonac is a throwback to a simpler day and time, you'll find there's plenty to do in and around the Algonac area in terms of entertainment. You can enjoy an ice cream while watching freighters pass by, or take a leisurely stroll along the boardwalk at the Algonac City Park.  The Algonac area offers golf, fishing, camping, boating, bowling, museums, and nature trails.  In addition, there are several movie theaters a short distance away.

There's no shortage of places to dine.  The Blue Duck Inn is a local tradition, and you can't beat the cuisine, and the view of the river, at MacRae's Big River Grill.  You must try their Clam Chowder...it's the absolute best.

Just up the river in Port Huron, you can tour the Fort Gratiot Light House and the Huron Lightship Museum.  Several historic tours are also available.  Just across the Blue Water Bridge in Sarnia, Canada, you'll find a casino, as well as several "Gentleman's Clubs".  Just make sure you're back in time for class in the morning. :-)

Q. What is the availability of "Catia On The River"?

Q. I have several employees that I'd like to have trained.  Can you train more than one person at a time?
